Great New Pricing For Award Winning JBL LS Series

Audiophiles across Australia will be celebrating the latest news from JBL, announcing the new lower pricing for the award-winning high performance LS Series loudspeakers.

“Since the LS Series were launched in Australia a little over 12 months ago, they have become a fast favourite amongst critics and music lovers alike,” said Geoff Matthews, Managing Director of JBL Home Audio distributor Convoy International.

“With savings of up to $1200 on individual models, these premium speakers are now more accessible to audio aficionados who crave that big, dynamic ‘you are there’ JBL sound.”

Since its launch, the JBL LS Series has been a critical success, with several awards and glowing reviews from media and bodies in Australia and across the world.

Most notably, the LS80 floorstanding speaker was named ‘Product of the Year – Loudspeaker 2008-2009’ by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), arguably Europe’s most eminent technology awards.
The judge’s comments clearly outlined why the LS80 rose above and beyond the competition; “The sound of the LS80 is surprisingly coherent, balanced and natural.”

Most recently, the LS80 was Highly Commended in the Sound & Image 2010 Awards for the category of ‘Stereo Speakers of the Year Over $2500’.

The JBL LS Series loudspeakers share the design philosophy and signature Bi-Radial®-horn/compression-driver configuration of the widely acclaimed high end JBL Project Series – K2 and Array – as well as of the Everest DD66000.

The LS loudspeakers achieve their loud, clear sound thanks to advanced engineering and exquisite craftsmanship. The LS Series enclosures are more than just beautiful to look at; the wedge shape and gently curving side panels prevent unwanted internal resonance.

High-mass, critically-braced MDF construction minimises sound colouration. A curved lower baffle prevents acoustic interference with the lower woofer, while gracefully transitioning into the gloss-finish, streak-ebony side panels, which are finished in a rich mahogany shade.

In the high frequencies, LS Series speakers employ a constant-directivity, horn-loaded HF compression driver and UHF ring tweeter in a unique computer-optimised baffle that suppresses phase interference and signal loss.
Whereas some manufactures use compression horn drivers to dramatically increase sensitivity, JBL engineers designed their new components to provide the optimum blend of the highest possible sensitivity and astonishingly low distortion. The result is a sound that is refreshingly vibrant and lifelike without any trace of harshness.

The realism of low-frequency sound is heightened with high-performance dual pulp-cone woofers in a staggered network design for exceptionally rich bass response. Working together, these technologies ensure that LS Series speakers render ‘out-of-this-world’ action sequences when used for your home theatre and delicate, otherworldly musical passages with equal clarity and accuracy.
